Alex’s fault

This was a commission for a geologist, named Alex.  The only request was for there to be some columnar basalt.

I sent a drawing of a fault and went from there.  This was such an enjoyable commission.

I think I liked the dinosaur layer even more than the Oreo cookie layer… but those trilobites!
