Milton CSIU

 

This mosaic was a fabulous opportunity to again work with the woman that hired me for my very first community project at Warrior Run High School.  She’s now with Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit in Milton and partnered with Pennsylvania Council on the Arts for funding.

 

I worked with four different intermediate unit schools to make tiles. I planned for students to make tiles for the wings in the dragonfly.  However, these peeps were prolific, and we had time to also make fused tiles for the centers of the black-eyed Susans. The mosaic was assembled in the CSIU building so the students from the school that is in the same building helped to assemble background tiles. This project and the flag project were going on at the same time, and I was traveling daily to one or the other, sometimes both in the same day. It was wild keeping the two separated!
